wrote on the User Groups: Agile Brasilia - Brazil wall: Would like to ask these 3 questions to get your feedback, input or comments: 1) Is there a need for the very-comprehensive and administrative-heavy Testing and Validation that is part of a QA liefcycle in an IT project that is following SCRUM practices (and not the Waterfall approach)? Where I am, as a Scrum Master and PM, I have a QA on the project and the processes as per her Testing plan require her to gather from each team member information to develop Test Cases and additionally produce for them: 1- issue reports, 2- statuses for defect lifecycle (open, assigned, tested, rejected, postponed, duplicate, fixed, unaassigned); 3- Priority + severity statuses; 4- Snapshot functionality; 5- Filtering functionality designed for QA process; 6- Linking defects to test cases 2) In addition to using Scrum Boards every Sprint, for PBIs, SBIs (or Not Started), In Progress, Completed, Next Sprint, the team members have a Parking Lot in the same tool we are using (Teamwork) to house tasks that may be for Sprints down the road and are possibly nice-to-have tasks and not must-have tasks at this time (later the task list could be refined and deemed necessary for the project)? Would it be best practice to keep them in the PBI instead, and track and monitor them every Sprint Review/Planning session? 3) To your knowledge, is Teamwork a good tool to use? Or Scrum-boards? Or is there a better tool? Have you used MSP 365 which has a template for Agile? Or MSP 2016 which has a template for Sprints? Looking forward to hearing back from you Joseph
